Muritala Taiye’s header in the second minute of five added minutes on Thursday in Ibadan gave hosts Shooting Stars Football Club a 1-0 win over Bendel Insurance FC of Benin.

Shooting Stars had it tough before clinching the three points in the 2023/2024 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Match Day 22 fixture.

They did launched several attacks from the game’s opening minutes, but they failed to get it right in the final third on most occasions.

A launch from the left flank was flicked on for Taiye to head in at the far side, prompting ecstatic celebrations both on and off the pitch.
